A life coach is someone professionally trained to help you maximize your full potential and reach your desires and goals. Think of me as your BFF, mentor, and advisor all in one.
Life coaching gives immense clarity on what’s going on in your own brain. When you feel unable to get the results you want or feel stuck with your life, coaching is the solution. A life coach can help you identify your limiting beliefs and show you exactly what needs to change so that you can step into your desires and goals.

A life coach is is not a healthcare professional. Their purpose is to clarify goals, identify obstacles, and see problematic patterns and behaviors in order to curate an action plan to achieve desired results. The main way that a life coach vs. therapist works is that the life coach takes the client’s current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground and is more action-based from that point onward. A life coach enables the person receiving treatment to take responsibility and control for their life and take action to steer it toward their goals.
A therapist is a healthcare professional. Therapy, also called counseling or psychotherapy, is a long-term process in which a client works with a healthcare professional to diagnose and resolve problematic beliefs, behaviors, and issues.
Therapists focus on the “why” behind certain behaviors and feelings whereas coaches focus on the “how” can we get past this quickly. In that way, therapy then focuses more on the feelings and experiences that got you to where you are. Coaching may touch on past experiences when breaking down your limiting beliefs, but overall it is more focused on the present and the future.
Therapy is more about exploration and having curiosity around different feelings and experiences. Coaching is more about results and action steps to get you to your goals.
The duration differs as well. Therapy is meant to be a long term container. Coaching is designed to get results such that the client can one day coach themselves using the modalities learned in session.

Hypnotherapy deals with our subconscious mind which is responsible for our emotions, perceptions, habits, beliefs and automatic bodily functions such as breathing and digestion. Often times we learn something consciously, then the subconscious mind takes over that learned behavior. Once accepted by the subconscious mind, the mind begins to behave as if what we learned was true. If the conscious mind is not paying attention, is in shock or is not yet fully formed (as in the case of a child) new ideas can establish themselves in the subconscious mind and stay there unbeknownst to us.

People describe the experience of hypnotherapy as highly pleasurable and often comment upon emerging that they feel like they’ve had a refreshing nap. You might feel any number of sensations while in hypnosis. Most people’s muscles grow loose and relaxed. Many report pleasant feelings. Often the breathing grows deeper and slower as a result of increased relaxation. Feelings of warmth or tingling are common. Often people report an increased ability to visualize much like daydreaming. Some people’s perception of time is altered – the hypnotic state may seem much longer or shorter in duration than it actually is.
While some continue to listen to the words of the hypnotherapist, others report that the mind drifts away to some pleasant memory or imagined scene. Because the conscious mind may drift away, some report only a general sense of what was said in the trance, just like seeing a movie but not perfectly remembering every scene. Each individuals experience of hypnosis is unique!

Hypnotherapy works faster than both psychotherapy and behavioral therapy. Since it addresses the gatekeeper of the conscious mind and goes straight to the subconscious. In fact, a study analysis from 1970 found hypnosis to have a 93 percent success rate, with fewer sessions needed than both psychotherapy and behavioral therapy.
